I just recently finished a landscaping project - it took a good few months but it's so satisfying when you achieve your vision. The main things to consider are maintenance - a plant/tree may look beautiful but are you realistically going to be able to cater to its needs. Also is the environment and terrain within your site suitable for the shrubbery. Look into how much sunlight you get and strategically place plants accordingly. I managed to do my project on a fairly tight budget, mainly through researching and doing a lot of the work myself (or my partner).

Hiring a mini digger for a day or so can save you tonnes. They aren't too difficult to master either - different attachments are provided for the different tasks you might want to carry out. http://www.robertleeplant.co.uk/article-skid-steer-attachments-infographic#.UW_vu47gLRY

The above graphic might help, but I suspect something like a grader rake will be what you're after for levelling out etc.

Thinking about colour is important too. Injecting the odd bit of colour in a subtle manner can liven up the whole yard but don't go OTT.

Anyway it would be great to see the finished results!!

Colour is gorgeous! Great for little girls, I bet they love it.

The yellow curtains let in a summery kind of light. Really nice.

Agreed. You can't complain when the quality is how it is and the price is so low. My house is decked in Ikea...

I agree with the whole sheepskin debate. I don't think it's needed, but the chair itself is a timeless classic.

Ones like this - http://www.mdmfurniture.com/blue-eames-style-rar-rocking-lounge-retro-rocker-chair.html or any other bright colour for that matter starts to look like a children's play toy. Neutral colours, well, I must admit I love this chair.
