I like the poster!! I dont live in USA and never heard of the movie before, but I can see how the person who put it up would have liked it for its retro design and vibrant color.

It always surprises me how some people are so sensitive to such things. To me it is a piece of art, with some historical connotation, on a wall - that is all. The film may be offensive to some but I don't see anything on that wall that is racist. If anything, this poster has been educational to me - because I now know about the film and its controversy. In my country there are huge racism issues. But whether a person is racist or not depends on their words and actions - which ultimately reflect their heart. Books, movies and art are all just ways of gathering and sharing knowledge. Why should a person be criticised for what kind of books, movies or art they have!

I hope the owner does not remove it from the wall. If everyone were to hide and bury everything 'offensive' from their country's past, then no one would talk about it at all and no one would learn from it. You would be just burying it like what Disney is trying to do. No, you should display it proudly. And when your child is old enough to ask about it, you can use it as a great opportunity to have a heart to heart talk about racism. =)
