This brings back memories... My DH and I bought a Victorian Mantle years ago - in terrible condition - and fixed it all up and painted it a creamy white to go with our trim. It was so fun to move our "fireplace" wherever we wanted - it was even a headboard once. After awhile we sold it for some new project... about six years passes and our house burns down. I'm so glad to have found these comments. Our house burned down 2 mos. ago and we're renting a house while we rebuild. Both showers have these useless screens. I'll admit they look good but if you're into cleaning your body, you'll be cleaning the floor right after. They let all the cosy warm steam out and let any breeze in. I def won't have these in our re-built house no matter how cool they appear. They're too cool. Cold. Unfortunate Trend: Half-Wall Bath Screens |
