We used Benjamin Moore Aura for the first time this go-round of updates. The difference, compared with the cheap stuff, is amazing.

Even the Hubs, a skeptic at heart, said the higher price was well worth it. One coat instead of two is especially important when you're working with vaulted ceilings. I love the color saturation.

Bought a new printer last year - an Epson Workforce (at Best Buy). It is the FIRST printer I've ever fallen in love with. Yes, LOVE!

Not one paper jam, and it has just recently warned me of low black ink. I haven't had to replace any of the cartridges before now ... and I'm a writer printing out novels for editing.

Now it's time to find an ink supplier. ;) Any suggestions, ATers?

I've been bad about comparing our townhouse to the luscious photos here on Apartment Therapy and elsewhere.

During one grumble session, my husband pointed out that any third world person would consider our 3 bedroom, 3 bath place with attached garage and functioning dishwasher a mansion.

He was right and since then I've been looking at ways to make our "mansion" a more comfy home.

A few colors from the 80s with sea foam and peach at weddings this spring and summer.

Not sure whether brass or gilding will be the next metal, but it's definitely moving toward those hues.

Oil rubbed bronze door hardware came and went super fast, didn't it?
