That price is amazing! How much are they losing per Fire? I predict the next version that's more comparable to an ipad will cost at least $299 and force Apple to cut the price of their lowest model too.

My Lacie external drive also failed to mount on my imac recently. I thought it might be a power source issue, as Lacie seems to have issues with that per my internet research. However, a new power cord didn't solve the issue either. Finally, I bought Diskwarrior by a friend's recommendation, and that did allow me to retrieve my lost data. Not cheap, $99, but better than other data recovery services! Maximum Overdrive: 2 TB External Hard Drives |

I've only used iphones, so can't comment on android too much. Since this is a design website, I would think most people here at least recognize the superiority of APPLE designed products. Google, not so much. Help Me Choose My 1st Cell Phone in 5 Years |

Instead of giving up, just return it and get a new one. It might be a bad unit. I really enjoy my ATV, though sometimes have trouble streaming video podcasts and the rental selection is poor (for now). With my HDTV antenna, who needs cable? Laments of an Apple TV Owner, A Cautionary Tale |
