I also have knotty pine cabinets, and trim in my house. I am going to paint all of it. I want it to look a bit distressed rather than than just a plain white, so Im going to use an artist chauk paint, then waxed. Check out Annie Sloan. The great thing about the paint is you can paint right over glossy surfaces without sanding or priming. there are many different colors to pick from
