I used these constantly when my son was little for making baby food. I'd make big batches of applesauce, mashed potatoes, etc, and freeze in these. Then I could pull out a cube of a couple different things for his meals, without having to have made all of it in one day. WONDERFUL.

My favorite yellow thing in my kitchen is my yellow stump teapot, which I use every single day. It's so cheery!

I have, admittedly, only used Airbnb once, but our experience was fantastic. Funnily enough, the apartment owner we worked with was new to Airbnb as well, but he was wonderful, leaving a list of restaurants in the area worth walking to, with a bit of pricing heads up, newly purchased sheets for the bed, and he even checked ahead of time what we preferred for breakfast and stocked the fridge. Like I said, fantastic.

I'd love to learn to cook with lentils. My husband had an awful experience with them when he was younger and won't touch them, but recently I've had two different kinds of lentil soup and both were lovely.

I'd also love to learn some more swiss chard recipes, as I'll be growing it in the garden this summer, and as much as I love Alice Waters' Swiss Chard Gratin, I've a feeling I'll need more than one recipe...

I just painted my living room light gray, and I have wood trim all around. It is a medium dark trim, but still, strong wood tones throughout the room, and I LOVE it. Very happy with the decision. :)

We've done different meals each year depending on how many of the family can make it home, (I come from a large family), who with allergies/food aversions is there, and simply how much time we feel like allotting to breakfast that year. This year, I'm hosting, my second year ever and the first in our new home, and I'm thinking possibly cinnamon rolls, or maybe french toast....

I have this bag for my bike and I'm planning to get a second soon. I love it because it has a cinch closure on top instead of a flap, so if I have something tall, like wine, or a baguette, it still fits. It clips onto my bike rack. There is a shoulder strap if you don't have a bike rack, but I highly recommend getting one if you don't have one yet. I usually put it in a grocery cart, so I'm not carrying it on my shoulder through the store (it does sit a bit awkward of that,) but I fill only the bag in the cart so I don't buy too much.

Also, if you are hauling a lot of groceries, you can always get a bike trailer. Those work wonderfully for heavier or more groceries.

Here's the link for the bag:

My son asks for carrot cake every year. I usually make chocolate chip cookies to go with it because he has a fair amount of friends who don't actually like carrot cake, but the funny thing is, it disappears anyway. :)

My husband and I 'discovered' coconut mojitos on our honeymoon six years ago. We ordered mojitos, and the bartender had run out of regular rum (we were there just before closing I guess) and offered to make them with coconut rum instead. Best. My husband has since perfected making them at home and we've been enjoying them all summer. :)

I'm not a fan of mushrooms either, and while this doesn't entirely address the flavor issue, I usually sub in zucchini as a replacement. It cooks down sort of like mushrooms, especially if you skin it, and I've loved the recipes I've made this switch in thus far.
