Beautiful home! My husband and I just moved into a cape outside of Boston and this provides us a lot of inspiration! What is the name of the paint color in the living room?? Also, did you install the kitchen cabinets? If so where did you source from? Thanks for a great house tour :-)

This is one of my all time favorite colors! I redid this desk

To get the color I took the paper I lined the drawers with (and the side of the desk) and had them match the paint color at the hardware store. So if you wanted a tiffany blue color you could grab a tiffany's bag and have them match the color.

Try the Mill Store - www.millstores.com/ which has multiple locations around New England. They sell unfinished wood furniture and you can either paint/stain it yourself or you can choose from their paint colors and pay extra for them to paint it. I have found the furniture to be made well, durable and the prices are very good!

I grew up in Lexington and had a number of friends who grew up in these neighborhoods (and most of the neighborhoods all have a community pool - jealous!) I went on this tour and it was great. The Lexington Historical Society does these types of tours every year (or every other year - something like that). A few years ago they did a tour of all the historical colonials located in the town center.

What was great about this tour is that a lot of the original owners are still around and stopped by to tell the historical society what was original, what wasn't and where they bought many of the light fixtures and bookshelfs that still reside in the homes!
