I don't see why it's such a problem to keep makeup brushes out in the open. Aren't most tooth brush holders out in the open? I keep my brushes out in a cute mug and I've never had a problem. I think your system looks great! :)

I wish I could enter, but as a 27 yeard old living with my parents again my room is not spectacular at all. I can't wait to get design inspiration though! :)

If you want to keep them, buy the thick plastic covers for them and tape the plastic to itself when you cover it. If you make it nice and snug and really make sure you tape the plastic cover to itself (not the book), they will last nicely.

If you don't like the covers then toss them, unless of course they have sentimental or monetary value. I don't see the need to keep them if you don't like them! HTH!

Your place is amazing! I love how sleek your entertainment system is and the kitchen is SO nice! :)

For your closet, I recommend hanging shoes from an organizer (Michael Graves for Target is my favorite) and you can then double hang your clothes if you attach a rod to the system, since it doesn't look like you have very many long haning clothes. This method saved my closet! HTH :)

I have a bunch of flat, silver head pins for sewing that I never use. I think I'm going to cover some styrofoam and use pins and string/thread for this! Such a cute idea :) I'm going to have my own California/Heart and fabric covered block after work today! Thank you for getting my creative juices flowing <3
