The best pieces of advice I've read in a while. I'm a repeat offender when it comes to picking up furniture that we don't really need. I'm constantly 'saving' furniture from the side of the road that at the time, I'm certain has promise - but after sitting under the house for 6 months or so, sort of loses appeal. Will keep these questions in mind next time I drive past a rattan bookshelf or wonky old table. Thanks for posting! The Ten Commandments of Used Furniture |

I always purchase furniture when I fall in love with the piece, without thinking of where exactly in the house it will fit. So I'm constantly trying new arrangements to see what will work. I also keep a cleaning cloth in the bathroom too to quickly wipe down each morning - keeping on top of the cleaning is the key. Then for dusting, vacuuming and more intensive cleaning - I find some great dancing music always helps. Incorporating Household Chores into Your Other Daily Routines |
