We bought a handhand mixer like this a year ago and were disappointed with it. Are there knock-offs that we bought inadvertently? We heated our milk for cocoa, but it didn't foam as much as we expected. Almost Instant Foamy Milk? All Hail the Aerolatte Handheld Frother! |

Yes, what would be a good mung bean alternative - and preferably not edamame as I have to watch soy intake? This looks delicious and healthy, and I definitely want to give it a try! Recipe: One Bowl Mung Bean MealRecipes from The Kitchn |

I appreciate the thought behind giving guests a way to get the recipes besides the fuss of printing them out.....but that's an awful lot of work for convenience. While I see them all over the place, it's rarely at a place where I have time to scan them and get the additional information. The History of QR Codes & How to Use Them in the Home |

@madknitter, I use Cameo cleaner on my copper-bottomed pots. Not a natural fix per se, but it is amazing how quickly it gets off the grime and keeps the bottom of my revere-ware shining. How to Clean Copper with Just Lemon & Salt |

I'm disappointed that I can only view videos (well, actually, I can't as I'm at work), and that this post only points out that link. Some commentary on specific ideas and suggestions as pertains to the kitchen would have been really useful, or some more information on this family and her pursuit. I didn't have a problem with my cast-iron pan or LeCreuset on my glass induction top....but the Revereware I had didn't like the top and seemed off-balance somehow. No joke, they would skitter around on the stove-top. No cracks or nicks despire heavy usage but there's a few little spots that just wouldn't go away. At the moment, the pans cool down just fine in the amount of time it takes for me to slide cookies/crackers onto a cooling rack and put the new batch on them. Bit chilly in my current place, to be sure, but I did the same thing in my last place without incident or detriment to the final product. Cookie-Baking Tip: A Quick Way to Cool Hot Baking Sheets |

I do like how this looks, very much. My only question is whether you're planning on using the apples, cranberries, etc. afterwards or not? Because then I do question the no-waste idea. All-Natural Christmas Dinner Centerpiece |

This sounds better than the version I've had while visiting Southern relatives, but the cooking time seems really long for the chicken. Well, for the whole dish, really. Recipe: Chicken Divan Casserole, from Scratch |

I like the idea of this, but not the selected items. It's just not very practical, though, since I don't have an apartment building with an area where I could spray paint, and it's not that easy to find spray paint in Chicago. It's so much more effort to do that than to keep looking for the right elements and accessories (and the sales that make them affordable!) to bring into my apartment. Agree on the shower games generally speaking, but there was a terrific one at a friend's shower a few years ago. Her mom found the random gadgets in her kitchen, put them on a tray, and had us guess what they were supposed to be used for. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Wedding Friday: Customized Recipe Cards |

I like this set of pictures better than the first, although I had to go back to see the floor plan and see how it fits together. I do like the balcony, and some of the furniture, but it's not a slam-dunk for me. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest Finalist - Stephanie's Life of Pie |

I bought the 2-bin recycle center on Saturday. I spent some time thinking about what would work in my limited kitchen floor space, and I could not be happier with it. It had some grime on it, since it was a floor model, but it cleaned up beautifully (and I got 10% off). It works very well - the pulls are good, I like that the pails are removable for cleaning...it was expensive, yes, but since it works so well for me, well worth it.
