Mine's boring (sorta)... kettle popcorn. Flavored, of course. I did a great Japanese inspired pot with ginger, sesame seeds and brown sugar. And same as Sarahrenee. Pizza out of anything! Don't even need sauce all the time. Or cheese, but then you need sauce (or something like it)! Anyway, LOVE this post. Stealing!!! I love Like a Mom! My life is still upside down even after all these years being a mom and I often find myself refueling at the kitchen counter, a little bit like a car, several times a day. It's nice to eat things sometimes where it's not just ingredients you pop in your mouth and go. And I know this recipe refers to New Parents, but I'm not bothered that I've been a parent for 6 years now. New no longer, but the recipe still works for me (if I had enough nuts anyway)! I've never tried freezing whole pieces of avocado, but pureed avocado, yes. I put it in mini mason jars and used it mostly for pastas and spreads. It was still pretty creamy and yummy! Did not try it for dips though. I do pretty much what neon daisy does. The fridge works well for me too. But if I had a huge box of them, I'd likely try to freeze some of them. Haha. I'm terrible, I never think this far ahead. I often use it as an excuse to shuffle/reorganize (my poor family). Or I always find a spot to shove something in if I find something new to add to the pantry. And we tend to use up everything, so I guess that helps. How Do Super-Organized Pantries Stay Organized? Well, I know of a few couples in which the mate didn't even like veggies very much, so the other felt left to make boring meal after boring meal. Oh and forget about any spices!! This shouldn't have stopped them of course, but just saying, things could be worse. However I understand one's wanting to share, especially with one's mate (I am lucky enough to have a foodie as husband)--food is often a sharing experience. What's important is to be happy when someone is happy. You can still share joy. My husband is blind, but he's loves it when I get all excited about a photo I took, a lens, etc.. He even bought me my favorite camera after much research on the internet. What Do You Do When the One You Love Doesn't Love Food? |

Discovered that doing this really kept things in order and easier to clean. You just lift your tray (or move it) and wipe. Easy peasy. I have what I like to call my "baking caddy" in the pantry, so I'm ready to go for all my baking. No hunting around for a set of ingredients. Great when you have kids and get distracted easily. I am now no longer fearful of last minute inspired baking. As for my countertop trays--I use two wooden clementine boxes. Stacked herbs and spices in one; oils, pepper grinder and a cylinder for utensils in the other. Had them for six months. Wasn't sure if they'd stay clean or be sturdy enough, but they're still in good shape and it was quick fix for my out of control counter.
