This is a great post; would love to see more like it re. baby, small chid/ren, children's items for small spaces.

While I don't have kids, who knows what the future brings; plus, I want to be able to show friends that they don't need to move out of the city when they have kids (many move because they don't think there is enough space to store their items, etc, etc once a kid comes into their lives).

How can we go onwards and take this momentum into our other projects, etc? A huge aspect of The Cure was being able to read the success and challenges we all had. As someone who had/has anxiety about starting a project (I never hung artwork b/c I thought I wouldn't get it right) having the calendar was a form of 'accountability' that was helpful. Will AT be putting something together to continue this momentum prior to a 6-month design (or whatever it will be) cure in the summer? I'm worried that I will freeze or even regress!

Love this! I'm a big fan of candles and use them throughout my home including in the bathroom.

I want holder #2 for use around the home during the year and then for my advent candles - love being able to use something for more than one season/purpose!

This process has been fantastic. I've never felt more positive about my home (...really homes as I've bounced around) than ever before. I had to rearrange the schedule a bit and do the living room last weekend as we have a guest this weekend (and the bedroom turned into the 'catch all' including the 'outbox (2 boxes)' and 'currently being listed on ebay (about 3)' boxes. I feel so good about this, and it's helped my relationship with my husband as well; we discuss the day's task and although I'm the primary person completing the tasks we're sharing more about our vision of our home, and our lives together in it. We like that the habits we are learning now in this apartment will be carried through when/if we move onto another city or a larger space/house. I was touched when my husband brought home flowers last Friday.

I've underestimated how long certain areas would take to clean and/or organize; and I'm listening to my house more as a result.

The only downfall is that my hands have been rubbed raw and some spots have needed bandaids -- any suggestions on good quality cleaning gloves?

I took the opportunity to clean out and make room for an electric toothbrush and it's charging base in the medicine cabinet; also set it up to be able to charge while the cabinet door is closed. The other parts of my bathroom need work, including under the sink storage, but I need to keep working on the monthly project and finishing up the kitchen (which turned into a bigger project than anticipated) - very pleased with the transformations and happy to read of other's success.

@Kelly Beth, try putting it in your outbox and see how it feels in the next few weeks. :-)

Oh, and a friend recently purchased this for her no-entryway entryway so that her elderly father could put his shoes on at the door. It has a small profile.

@monet419: I also don't have an entryway; opens up to the kitchen. I have a coat closet next to the door, so that takes care of the coats, but no other area for the designated 'landing strip' contents. Also looking for inspiration and ideas! Good luck.

@astroande, If you have some OxyClean, try that. I've had amazing results getting out various stains on all sorts of items with it.

Great post; I see myself in this post so much, I'm just many states away from my parents house. I've postponed things because of the anxiety and fear of it not being perfect, fear that I'm not an 'expert' and therefore can't do it perfect.

Last year I got Freedom Filer for my paper filing needs (I'm definitely a paper packrat... with papers from college many moons ago and other such things); highly recommend it. The filing system is very comprehensive and I believe better than the one at Container Store.
