I use a 4' long x 2' wide fold in half table (http://www.bjs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10201&storeId=10201&partNumber=P_119482929&sc_cid=GPLA&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=119482929) and a six drawer plastic rolling caddy which is about 3' high by 18' wide. I bought a 4' wide x 12' long painter's drop cloth (canvas) and cut it in half. The table has adjustable height from coffee table height to table height to counter height. Easy to use a table top easel with it. All my paints and brushes and other paraphernalia stows in the rolling drawer caddy. When I'm working, half the drop cloth goes on the floor, half on the wall. When I'm not working, the table folds to a tidy 2'x2'x3" and goes in a closet along with the caddy, and the drop cloths which sit on top of the caddy when not in use. It's cheap, easy, and so portable -- fits in a tiny closet when not in use!
