I think this is my favorite ever House Tour. Great Job!

I think it might be the Parson's desk from Walmart/Amazon, I have the same one and agree that the quality is paltry, but that's what I get for spending less than $100 on a desk. The size is great though, which is why the poor quality is so disappointing.

I also have to add that if you are wanting a more traditional rug look, don't forget about adding a border! Flor will cut the tiles for you for a small fee into several different shapes. Both of the rugs I mentioned in my previous posts have quarter-tile borders on them, which makes them for me. A border in a solid color is a great way to tie the rug to the rest of your decor, as well.

While I really like some of the rugs linked in the comments, I have to agree with Ryn and say go Flor! I now have two separate Flor rugs and love them so much that I keep brainstorming where I could put another! It seems like the perfect fit for your situation; they carry pretty much every solid color, in a wide range of textures, as well as tons of intriguing patterns. I have a five-tile runner in my hallway that vacuums like a dream, as well as a large area rug in my bedroom that while a warm sandy color, looks brand new after 7 months of use. They are remarkable easy to assemble, and the fact that they ship in smallish boxes as opposed to a long plastic-covered roll is extremely convenient. They have a range of prices and materials, but the majority of their tiles are woven from ultra-tough nylon (though definitely don't feel that way). I just realized this reads like an ad, but I really just love my Flor tiles that much!

I first learned some very basic sewing as a child from my mom, by hand and on her old Kenmore machine. She never sewed with it much, so it didn't have the best service record and thus broke down often, meaning I couldn't really do much on it. After figuring out I was interested, my mom bought by sister and I cheap White machines while we developed our skills (two machines as my sister is five years older than me and left for college). Thankfully I had the opportunity to take a sewing class in high school, under the FCCLA banner, and then I really got the bug. Most kids at 16 were excited for a car, but my favorite birthday present that year was a computerized Babylock Quilter's Pro from my parents. They don't sell the exact model anymore, but that machine is truly my baby. I have made drapes, clothes, pillows, cushions, and piles and piles of costumes for myself and for others on that thing. I am so glad that my school still offered a sewing class for me to take, even if my friends didn't know it existed because they didn't study the course catalog like I did (I went to a rather large high school). It makes me so sad that a generation of people are missing out on this valuable life skill because school administrators decided it was irrelevant. I can't tell you how odd it was to be in a sorority of 200+ active members and be the only one with a sewing machine, and one of a handful that knew how to use one. Bring back home ec!

My first thought when I saw the settee is how amazing it would look in a Caitlin Wilson print. I think your favorite colorway of the Fleur Chinosie would be a perfect mix of classic and bold, and I have the feeling her stuff is your style based on that blue key print in the photo. Whatever you pick, it will look great! And like others said, you can always redo it down the line! Don't waste time and money on something "safe" that you don't love just because you think it would be better for the piece. It's yours now, have fun with it!
