We purchased 2 rolls of Tempaper when Fab.com had a sale last year. The stuff is awful. It was much harder to work with than the real wallpaper we got from Ferm Living a couple years back. The trouble is that because you have a backing paper to unroll while you are applying it, you can't go around corners and it's very hard to apply. Bubbles abound. Honestly, you're better off with doing real wallpaper. We're going to do a painted stencil instead. I'm selling the rest on ebay. Also, the quality of the print on tempaper is poor. I have a friend who does large scale vinyl graphics and they were appalled. One caveat- maybe if you are doing just a small wall with no coners, doors, windows, etc you might have ok luck. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price for this failed experiment. You do have to be careful because it pulled the paint off when we removed it- admittedly, that is probably the awful paint job in our rental, but still something to consider. This is really interesting! I didn't realize this was such a common practice, but I suppose in really tight quarters anything is fair game. I would've thought it would be a fire hazard to store anything on top of a stove, gas or electric. Small Kitchen Solution: Cover the Stove Top for More Counter Space? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

It's always refreshing to see some offices that don't look too office-y. I love what everyone has done with their desks and the great chair combos. I love the idea of chairs (or anything office for that matter) that don't look so office-y. However, these are ergonomic nightmares. I and many of my friends suffer from computer related strain injuries and can't go the no-adjustable keyboard tray, no office chair route. I settled on an Aeron chair because of the adjustable armrests (sideways and up and down) but I agree they are not the prettiest and they scream "office chair"! clickchick- since you don't have pets it's no wonder you don't get why we're always covered in fur, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IT ALL OFF. Lint brush/tape all you want, the stuff is impossible to get off. It's all part of the trade off of living with animals, they give you so much joy a little fur in return is worth it. How timely! I just spend an hour last night looking for an orange sunbrella or equivalent fabric in the upholstery weight (not marine). Haven't found quite the orange we want so I will have to go to F&S! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | LA Resource for Sunbrella Fabric |

Another poster pointed out that it is a little counterproductive that the blue bags they're selling (other stores are guilty too) are made of a non-biodegradeable plastic. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look! IKEA to Ditch Plastic or Paper Bags Completely! |

I think it's great. I used to have one in my bathroom because the light it gives off is so much more flattering than overhead lighting. If you use the right lamp it can look great. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look! Another table lamp in the bathroom |

We are also on the second floor and so we thought we'd give some of that window washing fluid you screw onto a hose a try. BAD IDEA! Luckily, one of us was in the house watching the windows while the other sprayed but needless to say leaks abounded due to our 1950's windows. Apartment Therapy - Painfully Dirty Windows |

Nice idea in theory, but in practice I wouldn't say that's a smart use of space, it doesn't take the comfort of the individual to mind at all, who would want to sleep on that? I'll take the aerobed. Apartment Therapy - The Dream Door |

I have one of these radios from eton, I LOVE IT! Mine is in my bathroom and I use it every morning to get my npr fix. The hand crank for power works great for about 10 minutes of radio at a time. I run mine on AAA batteries, only have to replace them once a year and my radio gets lots of use! Apartment Therapy - Are you ready to Rumble? Disaster Radio |
