Or get a potplant specifically for the cat to eat - grass in a long, low planter or similar maybe?

Belinda, 3M make these great removable "velcro" tabs you stick to the picture, and the wall. Provided you remove them veeeeerrryyyy sllllooooowwwwlllllyyyy they don't mark at all - we moved from our last rental in January last year. The trick is definitely to be slow and steady though. Band-aid like ripping results in paint chipping.

My sister in law put me onto them, and they can usually be found in Woolies or Bunnings.
