I store my olive oil in an old wine bottle, specifically the Travaglini Gattinara bottle, which is slightly curvaceous and fits perfectly in your hand. It's oddly shaped, is a great conversation piece, but, most of all, it is functional. I top it with a dispenser, similar to Billy's. Better than anything I could purchase in the store!

1. The Botanist gin
2. De Leon anejo tequila
3. Bulleit rye whiskey
4. 10 Cane rum
5. Chartreuse VEP
6. Carpano Antica sweet vermouth

Honorable Mentions:

For cordials, I would have to add St. Germain, Creme de Yvette, and Grand Marnier. And, if I had to have a vodka, I would stock Tito's. Props to Proximus tequila, as well.

I think just knowing how good it is for me kept me "trying" to like it more. I definitely didn't like its taste, originally. I started out by using it in smoothies, and now I love sauteing it and using it in salads. It definitely took a while to start appreciating its flavor. Whole Foods has an outstanding kale and white bean soup that I make during the winter months:

Donkenzie, if you find that particular recipe, please post it. I love elderflower in cocktails! Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for the support! I've been inspired to create a little something this afternoon. Thankfully, I have a pot of basil growing indoors: some of that, along with some thawed-out tomatoes, harvested from the summer, will make a perfect Sunday afternoon Bloody Mary. I definitely need more accountability with resolutions, so I'll be documenting the progress, along the way!

I love this resolution! One of my challenges this year is simply to "deal with the recipe book." I don't know exactly how to go about it, but compiling a book of photos, scanned images, and text sounds like a great idea and a perfect solution to my lack of organization. I would definitely include, like downtheblvds suggested, family interviews and stories behind the recipes. The recipe book becomes a family heirloom, as well as a source for kitchen inspiration.

Lately, I have been sleeping until the very last minute, but I would LOVE to end this newly acquired habit. I thoroughly enjoy waking up early enough to read through my blog roll, enjoy a cup (or two) of coffee, and do some light stretching, as I look over my day's demands. I always feel more organized and ready for the day, this way.

I am so ready for the days to become longer and for the sunshine to actually impart some warmth!!! I have resolved to hit the gym this Monday morning, so that I can break the sleep-in-until-the-last-minute routine.
