Being in the military we really don’t have much artistic flare in our cubicles. Walls are full of regulations and other work related papers thumb tacked to the cubicle wall. Still I do enjoy looking at other people area. Many have pictures of their kids or even pictures of their pervious deployments and maybe a few little plants to lighten things up.

My own area has a poster of Rosie the Worker on one of my walls and a bobble head of Bender from Futurama, but that is it. Honestly that is kind of enough for me, even though I spend more hours working than at home I like keeping my space simple so I can focus on my work, rather than worrying if a orange lamp matches my design.

**would love to work in a creative world where I could go crazy with design. XD

My cat is allowed on the couch; in fact I love it when she joins me. I love the comfort she brings me as I try to de-stress and having her besides me brings me much joy. She is also allowed on my bed but she never goes on it, I think I toss and turn too much. ;)
The only place I do forbid her is my kitchen counter and my table since I prepare meals and eat there.

It may sound strange but I specially picked a black cat from the animal shelter since a lot of my furniture is black. XD

Sadly where I live there is no system that is available for me to take to work. There is a bus route but it does not start until 8am, and I start the day at 7. Thankfully I only have a 15 min drive and thinking in spring I’m going to try biking to work and back every once in a while.

Now back on the public transportation I love the eco friendly idea but I remember having to that the subway and bus to school and back and it was a nightmare. Maybe it was just Brooklyn, NY but people were so rude, always had to rush and it was stressful. So mix feelings, I like being lazy and not having to drive but at the same time I don’t have to deal with sleezy people..as well as able to go grocery shopping with no hassle of getting the items home.

After I’m done working out it’s about 30 mins till dinner or lunch, so I just wait and drink water to fill me up. I know it’s not ideal but with work I fit in an hour of PT when I can, at that’s right at the end of the day most of the time. * Tuesdays I go to yoga right before lunch at work*

In the rare instances when I’m free to workout in the mornings and crave something after I enjoy bananas with almond butter or whatever fruit I have available.

I know that you can find stripe decals to go on your walls (search via Amazon). But I bougt some decal wall photos before and they took the power of Goo Be Gone to get them removed fully from the wall. Pain in the butt.

I love red walls since I have a bunch of salsa red items, but I would only keep one wall red as an accent wall and paint the others beige to lighten up the area. But if you really hate the color you can always pick another color as for an accent wall.

Recently moved into a new apartment and finally fixed up my closet. So many items I’m going to be donating, including a few blankets (about 2 large boxes worth of stuff!). I’m still learning the area so thanks so much for the links. Hopefully I can drop everything off this weekend. :)

I bought #7 at Khols several years ago and it is a great storage option. I actually ended up getting 2 since I needed room and they are stackable which is nice since they fit in a small closet perfectly.
What I enjoyed about the storage was the removable dividers. I took out the bottom compartment dividers so I could place my garland in that space. And removed part of another section to lay down my tree topper. So far no oddments have broken even though 2 moves which I was happy with. :)

I also have another storage box similar to #8 which holds all my wrapping paper and giftboxes which stands up. Easy to get to all year around.
