I have a strange cat that preferred to chew on my fake plants rather than the real ones. I bought some bitter no-chew spray and got him some cat grass which I put on my patio for him. Thankfully that worked and now I don’t have to worry about my fake plants anymore.

Why didn’t I think of that! So I bought a beautiful shower curtain ages ago and was thinking “man I wish I can find a large picture of this for my wall”. Feeling dumb for not seeing the obvious solution sooner. XD

I’ve only lived in apartments with wall to wall carpet, and hate it! I’m actually in the process of buying my first place and one of the main things I want to do is get rid of the carpet in the living and dining room! I can leave with wall to wall carpet in my bed room but always hated it in my dining area.

For the meantime I use rugs. I know a lot of people hate rugs on carpet but it really does help break up the space.

What reminds me of the 2010's.

“Keep Calm and Carry On”
Foxes and Owls
Large oversize letters or numbers
“FOR LIKE EVER” poster that looks ripped at the boom.
And the Chevrons.

Granted I like most of those but I’ve gotten to the point if I see any of those (especially FOR LIKE EVER ) I’m like ugh… not again. XD

So while it’s not my style and nothing I would ever do I love LOVE the Emerald cabinets and a brass backsplash (picture 5). It’s just so rustic elegant looking.

I got a large pair of boobs...lamps right next to each other, it really looks like tits . I often gaze up at them and think to myself how badly I want to change them out! I have not committed to changing them out. I never replaced a ceiling lamp before and am scared I’ll blow something.

I get a friend to come over to my place to take care of my cats when I leave, gives me peace knowing my babies are taken care off.

I also unplug nearly everything, TV, bedroom side lamps, microwave. Really the only thing I don’t unplug is my refrigerator.

I'm sure this will look stunning when it's all done but right now I'm sad that the window is going to be covered up. Kinda strange but I'm looking foward to seeing how this will turn out.

I really love the last one, just looks so elegant to me!
But sadly I am unable to paint so all of these suggestions do me no good. I admit I was tempted to take down my doors and put fabric up instead but I have no place to put the doors. XD

Oh just wanted to add, I'm a gloves person. My water gets hot fast so the gloves act as a heat guard which I love. And I use sponges, maybe one day I'll use dish clothes but I really hate doing laundry so I'm hesitant to add more stuff to my load.

I never felt the need to ask what my neighbors pay since there are broachers and a website stating the prices of units. An apartment with 3 bedrooms cost x amount and a 1 bedroom cost y. They even list animal fees and discounts. So I know my neighbor has the same amount of rooms but no pets so I can guess they are paying about the basic price for a one bedroom in our complex.

Now I am looking on buying a home soon and a neighbor, who I know to a certain degree (friend mother) asked me how much they were selling for. I was fine with giving her the information, just so she could know how much homes where going in her area.

I have a dishwasher but I don’t use it often. I just don’t have enough dishes and pots to fill it up, seems like a waste of water and power for single living me.
So I’m in a habit of washing everything by hand at the end of the day. I do my prep when I get home (which includes making dinner as well as breakfast and lunch for the next day). Then while I’m waiting to for the food too cook I’ll go and start cleaning any mixing bowls, butcher block and wiping down my counters, hey I’m already in the kitchen right. Then I’ll package my food for the next day, eat my dinner then go and clean everything else. I’m actually not bugged by doing dishes…laundry on the other hand…UGH.

Ugh I lived in a hell apartment a few years ago.
One side of me neighbors who would blast their bass up to 4 am, no matter the night. Above me small children who would love jumping up and down and playing with what I guess rocks dropping them. On the other side a kid who like to play with a ball against the wall. And across from me a neighbor who would contsantnly want to mooch things, really every time I saw him he wanted something for free.

It was very annoying and even at 22 I felt like I was the old ‘git off mah lawn!’ neighbor. Plus being the only single white female in that area I just did not feel comfortable confronting anyone. I hated coming home which was sad cause I’m a home body and was glad I only signed a lease for 8 months.

Now that I’m older and less timid I would have handle the situation differently but for those 8 months I wanted to cry.

Haha, my cat loves drinking out of my glasses too. Which is why I resigned to using popup waterbottles at night.

At work I drink water from the same 'cool gear' thermos all day long. And I refill it though out the day. Maybe it's because water is not sticky but I don't feel the need to wash it before I refill my glass.

Now I do live by myself so the dishes are not that bad. I use one plate and pair of chop sticks for dinner (*I eat lunch and breakfast at work) and have my meal containers to wash out. I usually end up washing at least 2 skillets as well nightly since I cook all my meals at the same time. (Make dinner for that night, as well as breakfast and lunch for the next day).

I would go postal if I saw someone use more than 5 glasses for water each day. XD

Yes to all these!
#1 is a pet peeve of mine and this happens often (think grocery store).
And the stroller thing bothers me as well since they usually block an entire aisle. Yes to all these!

@ veslabeachgirl – I always ask if a item works. It could be a 50 dollar TV and I’m still going to ask since I’m not an electrician I feel like I should know so I don’t waste my money. 50 or 2 dollars.

@Louanne - Oh I ran into that 'no room to walk' situation a few times and like you I did not stay in that booth for long.

Growing up we always ate in front of the TV. It was very common and so eating without background noise and sitting at a table it’s just a strange concept. I can’t relax or enjoy myself. If I’m out at a restaurant where there are still lots of visuals I’m okay but I look at all those pictures of lonely people with media and I can relate so much. My own dinner is me on my couch watching the news with my cats waiting around hoping to get some food that falls.

Very much so.
I try to go to sleep at 9:00pm (I wake up really early for work) but it does not always happen. My issue is reading. I’ll start reading at 7 and if I’m really into the book I just have a hard time putting it down. I’ve even woke up in the middle of the night after some tossing and turning just to read another chapter…or two.

I keep reminding myself to put down my story by 8:30 so I have that last hour to relax but I seem to have a over active mind that will not let me sleep until it’s worn out. So even if I stop reading I tend to reach for some Sudoku. I think I just need an entertainment free room period. …possibly with white padded walls.
