I rent an apartment and I know that we have wood floors under two layers of laminate. I would love to peel it up but it doesn't make sense for me to put the money or effort into it. Instead, I settled on peeling the two layers of laminate off of the counter in our pantry. My roommates were quite surprised to come home to that but the painted wood looks infinitely better. My outbox will have to remain smaller than I would like. I live with two roommates, one of whom seems to be a magnet for junk that reminds him of college. The boys let me decorate out apartment but weird stuff keeps creeping in. Last time I left a large plastic penguin appeared in our living room fireplace. Any ideas on how I can control his hoard?
