We're using the arms reach mini co-sleeper and love it. We're not going to get a crib at all - my baby's room has a twin mattress on the floor, and she'll sleep there (again, totally baby-proofed room) when she outgrows the co-sleeper.

St@cy, a lot of food vendors on etsy ARE insured - just send them a note to ask.

I'm another vote for cutting down the legs on a "real" table... I cut down my (small) last dining room table legs to act as a children's table, and it worked perfectly. It also had the "real furniture" look - because it WAS real furniture. Much better than cheapo "kid stuff."

I made a pregnancy "story" book too. You can see mine here: http://app.picaboo.com/WebView/Project.aspx?clientID=940c0e438c8fbf432e77c57bcac210cb&version=42548 I just ordered it so I don't have the actual book yet, but I'm so excited to get it in the mail and have it for my little girl.

(PS and then if you want, you can get a little ipod for your kid and put all the story CDs on it, so you don't have to cart the CDs around in the car and worry about them getting scratched or broken or lost.)

I have bought TONS of books w/CDs for kids from the Scholastic book clubs... see if your local elementary school participates in the Scholastic book program. Each month there are usually at least 2-3 different 4-5 book sets w/CDs (they're usually around $20 a set), and they're usually NOT "cartoon character" type books... real stories that are worthwhile!

These have become my favorite cookies to make (I avoid all grains, not just gluten-containing ones) and the only "special" ingredient you'll need is almond flour, which is readily available at most grocery stores.

I agree! My husband keeps saying we need to have a party soon... in order to inspire ourselves to clean the house. I think he's right.

I taught my preschoolers to say, "I need to find something to get busy with." rather than, "I'm bored."

It's a much nicer thing to hear, and sometimes they'll come up with ideas for each other. Other times they'll ask me to get out a toy that I'd put away a few weeks ago if they've been thinking about it lately (we usually have about 12 toys/activities on the shelves at once, and rotate frequently).
