I just learned this week that my 10 year old is allergic to dust mites so we're paring down pillows and stuffed animals rather than adding them. :/

This is really inspiring to me. I love how everything is so obviously vetted for the space. No clutter, no redundancies, no excess. And oh my goodness, the textures make me want to touch everything. Everything looks so sumptuous and refined. I'm sure I'll be back time and again to read this and look at that divine abode. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Lovely.

It is truly refreshing to see a spread where the space is charming and imperfect and the people who live there use their space. I bet their food is wonderful and eating with them would be loads of fun. We have a tiny a** kitchen like that (minus the charm) but DH and I always enjoy spending time together creating meals. If I spent that kind of money on makeup I'd sure want it to look good too. (That's envy, not snark.) Since I'm pretty conservative with my makeup it fits into one smallish (but cute!) bag for everyday use and another small bag for special occasion stuff. You are smart to set up a system for yourself. I bet you'll be using the same one for years.

We've used the art caddy that I heart organizing blogged about for around a year. It's nice enough looking that it lives in our dining room and actually gets used every single day. Our problem is that our six year old daughter channels Edward Scissorhands and leaves little bits of cut up paper everywhere she goes. It is both adorable and slightly maddening.
