Re: number 6: I would think you would need to top 8 feet tall if your legs are to reach that power pedal for the sewing machine while seated on that stool. Yes, the color of the vintage machine is lovely in the photo, matching the legs of the stool. We will all turn a blind eye to reality and bow to the graphic appeal.

I agree. OSB, or banana peels.

We didn't put in any extra water proofing. My plumber father in law recommended a pan and drain under the washer, but we didn't add it. We just make sure that the hoses are tight and get replaced every few years. 13 years and no problems [knock on wood].

We built a two story house and insisted on having the laundry on the second floor where the bedrooms, and most of the clothes are. The builder didn't want to alter stock plans, but now they recommend our layout to other clients. Our laundry is small, about 5 by 8 feet with laundry sink, washer and dryer on one side with storage cabinets above. The opposite wall has a row of 6 hanging laundry bags for sorting. Whites, Darks (black, brown, navy) Medium Blue/Purple, Greens, Lights (gray, tan, yellow) and Red/Pink/Orange. With a family of four, this is not excessive and it doesn't take long to get a full load in any bag, and we never worry about colors bleeding. There is a sign above each bin and my kids were sorting their own laundry since age 4. Now that they are middle school age, they have to put their own clothes away. I will still do the laundry and hanging up, but they need to put it all away, same for hubby.

At last a pantry makeover with actual food in it!
I feared I would click the link only to find 90% of the original items tossed out and yet again a selection of $30 glass jars with miscellaneous pastas and grains, with the ubiquitous impractical chalkboard stickers.
But no! You have created real world organization and it's pretty too. Congrats and ignore the snarks swimming in the others comments :)

The cat is missing because he slipped down the varnished stairs one too many times.Wood is beautiful, but slippery for stairs. Even more dangerous when you remove the hand rail near the bottom steps. Beautiful, but not always practical.

I agree with the previous posters.
Flowers on a nightstand are great for photos, but unrealistic in real life.
Same goes for the items on the top of the nightstand. No clocks, no tissues, no case for glasses. People don't live in a magazine spread.
