My father had been ill for some time when he died. He was one to start a project without ever finishing it - my mother when alive stood over him until things were finished. When he died I got into town and saw the house was a wreck as far as cleanliness, easily fixable cosmetics - $2000. would have put things to rights (structurally it was in very good condition) organization, and there was enough medical equipment to actually fill a truck. I did as much as I could but had to leave. My sister (the hoarder who can't lift a finger) showed the house as is - and sold it for $30,000. - $40,000. less than it would brought being cosmetically in shape.

Anyone who says these things don't matter should not be making any of these decisions.

Once I started using kneepads I found I can go twice as long as without.

I've always enjoyed weeding. It's a good time to think & ponder, when you're finished you instantly see what you've accomplished which is a nice counterpoint to waiting for a plant to grow.

My wish is that they would also picture how some of us actually live. I can sit down at my own beautiful desk and within 5 minutes it looks as if pigpen came to visit.....

I also wanted to add what a great sense of proportion this lady has. Not many could pull this off.

I agree with the minority. Feel free to make any comments you want regarding the deer head, but look in your closet or refrigerator. If you eat meat or wear leather or pelts it's time to look in the mirror where you'll find a fine example of the species known as hypocrite.
Congratulations to the lady for being fearless in expressing her taste. So many run with the trendoid herd that you really never know whose taste you're seeing when you walk into a cloned room. I wish we had more like her.

Brava.

Is there any possibility there could be a shot or two showing as much as possible of a room? Except for the dining room the rest of the rooms are shown in bits & pieces. I love to see details, but they're out of context without seeing the full view.

missing all the hubbub I'm afraid to have an opinion...

beautiful space
beautifully executed
nice stuff

what is interesting to me is the fact that in every room there is a vast amount of open space, while at the same time things are lined up along the walls, & huddled together in the corners i.e. the kitchen counter, the entry hall, most every room.

different.

I am the only one that looks upon the trapeze in the living room with horror? If a kid fell off that thing and hit a sharp corner or between furniture pieces? There's a place for everything, and it's not in that living room.

The fireplace appears to be unfinished. A stone molding - simple - would have elevated the design and finished the look. The sectional backing into the dining room? It speaka for itself.

I don't view Hulu Plus very often. I thought we paid extra NOT to see commercials. The way it is now, the amount of ads are worse than cable. Am I wrong?

What could have been totally stunning would have been to also run the wave pattern vertically as well as horizontally. Transcendent.

My only criticism now: Not that are items on the shelves, Only what's there is utterly pedestrian.

Regarding the built in being painted: so many think wood is sacred. Many times it is either in bad condition or just cheap wood. Unless the woodwork is very, very good, feel free to paint it!
