Yep. I'll wait this one out and hopefully next week's trend will have more appeal. Neon: Back in a Big Way |

Very fresh looking. This doesn't look like all the other rooms, and I mean that in the best possible way. My Room: Quinten Lancaster, PA |

My almost 5 year old sucks her thumb and I haven't given too much thought to making her stop. It is such a comfort to her, along with her blankie, and she is so happy every day, I don't want to take that away yet. Of course I have pangs of worry about what it's doing to her teeth, but I have more, larger pang when I think about what taking it away might do to her! I have loved that decal for months, and I'm not sure it would work in my house, but I've had it on my wishlist, and I'm so glad to see someone else use it! It looks amazing. Lila's Old-and-New Nursery Small Kids, Big Color Entry #62 |

Was about to post about the HD ad, too. It covers up fully 1/3 of the effing pictures. ON EVERY PAGE of the tour. REALLY awful, and as Vanessa mentions, you can't turn it off. I tried changing my pop up settings and my flash setting but could not get rid of it and it was covering up a fair amount of the pictures!!! Rachel's Mid Century Rancho Hideaway House Tour |

It is OK to paint it. Just Fine. But, if you're wavering, I'd say wait and live with it. You might find that with some great styling, you can make it look young and fresh and modern. In fact, the contrast of an older, darker piece, with clean white modern accessories would be gorgeous. Cheers. To Paint or Not To Paint Heirloom Dresser? Good Questions |

The do use fire retardants, but not the chemical ones (BFFs). My understanding is that they use silica instead (the same way baking wares are made from silicone.) We similarly bought an Ikea mattress for my daughter to avoid chemical fire retardants and an enormous outlay of cash. Recommendations for a Big Boy Bed Ikea Mattress Good Questions |

Alrighty. Just confirmed I read too many blogs/shelter mags: not only did I get them all right, but 3 of the 4 I identified BEFORE I read the designers listed because I've seen all their apartments in mags. Design Quiz: Match the Fashion Designer to Their Home |

I tried everything until I saw a neighbor used gallon ziplocks, and they worked so much better than everything! Here's the thing: kids can see everything inside, so there is no need to dump everything out, which makes cleanup much easier. I put markers in one bag, crayons in one, etc. then the ziplocks all go in one big basket. Need Help Organizing Art Supplies Good Questions |

Yeah, add me to the consensus who think the host parents REALLY screwed up. I've had similar parties for my daughter (drop off with location changes), and we always make sure we do head counts and we make sure there is a ration of 1 adult for every 2 kids so we are certain everyone is accounted for. You know, I have been considering this for my home, but was concerned that it has been over done. However, the more I have looked at it, the more I've decided it's not overdone, it's moved past that and is now a classic. In my opinion, it's never going to be out of style. OMG. How did I miss this until now??? Those pale blue Scavolini cabinets are to die for. Probably good I haven't seen this before today or I would not be able to afford my remodel. This guy has impeccable taste. Michael's "Comfortable Modern" Rowan Building Loft House Tour |

Foam roller???? When painted a piece of furniture with a foam roller, it made all these tiny bubble that left blisterswhen they dried. The piece was quite clean and I had sanded the primer carefully, and in addition, another drawer I had painted with a brush was fine. Before & After: What a Difference Some Paint Makes! |
