I have a baby's room with concrete. Just put down a thick rug with a thick carpet pad and it's fine.

Hi - Esme's mom here: Thanks for all the sweet comments! The crib bedding (including bumper) is by Virginia Johnson, bought at Wee in Austin. The changing pad cover I bought on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001G94FQE). Lisa - I agree, pugs are awesome & so great with kids and babies!

In the case of the Jane, nothing really could make that room look larger. However, I think the idea to steal (if you want to make a space feel larger) is not the busy wallpaper - but the huge mirror.

Nice job! It looks great - and good for you for sticking it out during the reno.

I will say that those Ikea "shelves" look really impractical because of the bars. Can you cut a piece of plexi for the top so things don't topple and/or fall through them?

I like this - but you wouldn't ever use this to eat dinner or really for anything other than what it's being used for in the picture, or maybe a desk. Why not get an arc lamp and just use that over a table. It can be moved as needed.

Fun! I'd want it to be clear plexi though. I think they probably have the door so that they can easily feed the fish from inside.

It is not theft to take the toiletries - in fact hotels are happy for you to take them and think of it as extra advertising when you're back at home and fondly remembering them as you lather up.
