Certainly would be nice to aproximate the calories per bar... I agree with twotoned. And truly...does anyone really think these are ENERGY bars...and not just sweet eats? Curious.

YES! Pointing out to one's guests what I've yet to do, or clean, or paint, or fix...is conversation focused on the negatives. It's so easy to do it, especially while feeling somewhat self conscious about those said things. As a rule of thumb...ask yourself if you have EVER not enjoyed an invitation to someone's home because their carpets were frayed, or their dishes did not all match perfectly, or if their baseboards needed dusting, etc. We need to remind ourselves how good it feels to be included in the "fun"...the tasting... the conversations...the laughter...the POSITIVEness of the get-together. Tidiness and gentle organization is easy to do...DEEP CLEANING AND MAGAZINE PERFECT DECOR...ugh!!
Let's make a decision to NOT let those things keep us from the social interaction we enjoy. You may be surprised that loosening the 'standards' a little, makes one's guests feel more comfy and possibly encouraged to host the next get-together.

Who's up for cards around the kitchen table this weekend?

Roseisred, we use frozen fresh pineapple chunks..it's pretty sweet - so go easy. When seedless red/green grapes go on sale - they are another good choice, sweetening as well. I try to go Organic with as much produce as possible, for obvious reasons. Try adding half a cup of organic Carrot juice and don't forget the crushed ice and see if those ingredients don't help with flavoring the strong greens. Sometimes a 2-3" slice of washed and semi peeled cucumber gives these frappes that wonderful summer taste. What kind of greens do you use?

Looking at the open pantry, I see there is space to hang a pull-shade. Wondered if hanging a pull-down curtain in another solid fabric over the messy pantry supplies would give it a less cluttery look. Especially because the floor is so patterned, and cooking essentials are cluttered (but useful) over the stove-top. Easy to do, and it can be pulled down as needed when pantry is not in use. What cha think?
