We were using red 70's steelcase office chairs around our table. They were stained and I was desperate to get rid of them because cleaning them was impossible. I ended up purchasing 6 giant high back leather office chairs to replace them. My husband insists that the kitchen chairs must swivel and tilt and be padded so this is what our solution was. They are black holes from hell that now reside in my dads' basement. I found clean, like new grey and white 70's steelcase office chairs (exactly like the red ones but clean) for 10 bucks a piece and scotchguared them. I and am still avoiding dealing with the other bad purchase. I'm trying to convince my parents to use them in their kitchen.

Everyone in our family has their own big white rectangular rubbermaid laundry basket with reinforced handles. They live at the bottom of each closet and have lasted without a crack for 20 years. I think I paid $15 bucks at a target way back when. I don't understand how you transfer your neatly folded laundry when you have a bag with no structure.
