Mayo, lemon juice and curry make the best dip. The curry really compliments the artichoke without masking the taste. Help Me Learn to Love Artichokes! Ingredient Spotlight |

I second the suggestion for empanadas - easy to eat one handed! Pesto is also great because it doesn't take up a lot of room in the freezer but you can get a lot of meals out of one batch. (We freeze them in ice cube trays & transfer to a plastic bag.) In addition to food that can be eaten one handed, it was very important for us to have food that took less than 2 minutes to prepare. I like to give a bag of groceries (bread, sliced cheese, peanut butter, yogurt, etc.) along with a few homemade items like granola or scones. Reader Intelligence Request: Great Gifts for New Moms? |

I had a terrible experience trying to return a catalog item to West Elm. For that reason, I personally would not purchase something sight unseen. Quality of West Elm Parsons Low Bookshelf? Good Questions |

My sister's birthday is on Christmas, so our traditions were always split between celebrating Christmas and celebrating her. She died in 2011 and last year we took a tropical vacation to get as far away from Christmas as we could. We're home this year and will have birthday cake for dessert in her honor. I know the holidays are tough for everyone who's lost someone so I'm curious, how do you guys incorporate a loved one's memory into your holiday traditions? Share Your Favorite Holiday Traditions |
