Everything changes when and if you have kids. The accompanying baby paraphernalia is requires a small house worth's of space on its own.

I concur that Arlington is in the suburbs. I just moved from Cambridge to Lexington after we had our first baby. Yes it's the suburbs, but we're in Lexington Center, and the walk score on our house is 75, with lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies, public transit (bus line) all in walking distance. Maintaining our pedestrian lifestyle was the one non-negotiable when we were searching for our home. I think you should identify what's most important to you in your home, and do your best to make that happen.

The nursery is beautiful. However:
1) missing bold colors to stimulate baby's vision
2) crib bumpers are a major suffocation hazard - please remove before putting your baby in the crib
