I submitted my application over the weekend, but never received any kind of confirmation email? My guess is there isn't one? But thought to check because I'm so excited about this opportunity, I'd hate to miss out because my submission didn't go through. Live in New York and Looking for Color? Let Us Help! I think it's a little sad that "what do you do" is a taboo conversation, I love what I do and I love talking about it. I love knowing what other people do, and then connecting with them about that. We spend at least 60 hours a week doing something to earn a living, why shouldn't we talk about it? What's Your Very Best Ice Breaker? Reader Discussion |

Of course you can learn ... but you still need an innate passion for it ... if it's only a superficial desire, you'll eventually forget to water those plants. Is a Green Thumb Something You Can Learn? |

Agree with 1000. Why is it that the before shots are often of a messy clutter-filled non-styled dark room, and the after shot is ALWAYS in beautiful sunshine, perfectly styled! Before and After: Bri Emery's Living Room Makeover Design Love Fest |

I made it exactly as recommended, and it was delicious, but didn't look like the photo in the post (consistancy-wise) at all. Think it would need to be cooked for at least another hour. Mine came out like rice soup. That said, I loved it anyway. Recipe: Brown Rice Congee with Shiitake Mushrooms and Greens Recipes from The Kitchn |

I lived in a studio with similar dimensions, except (luckily) the kitchen was by the windows. I would play with having the bed flush alongside the Kitchen Bar and maybe have a track that you can hang a curtain from around the bed (or an expedite at the foot of the bed)? Then you can really maximize the use of the windows and set up a cozy, proper living space (since the bed, generally speaking, gets the least amount of use). Layout Ideas for 500 Square Foot Studio? @limericky I'm the only avo eater in my house too. and my avocado's keep perfect. here's the trick, Let's say you cut open and eat half the avo. Take the pit and put it in the remaining half, then cover the pit with the empty skin/shell, wrap with foil or put in tuperware in the fridge, mine have kept for up to a week (if the avocado was really fresh). Cool room, ear plugs ... but what really truly quiets my monkey mind once I read, and mellowed out, and turned the lights out is a numbers game I recently invented for myself and (knock on wood) it's been a magic sleep aid for the last year. Tell Us: What Helps You Fall Asleep? |

I sleep until the last possible moment, often making deals with myself between snoozes about how quickly I can get ready. Most mornings I don't even remember how I got myself ready and out the door. I ease myself to wake reading my book on my commute and on a good day I get a seat and have a 2 minute nap. I finally wake up over my 80 stair climb out of the subway and into a coffee house.
