Yes, it's a great idea which I've done before. Interestingly (seeing "white tech" posts) I've covered a couple of wood-grain products with white vinyl.

A couple o' notes:

- Storables has great brushed stainless steel look contact paper.
- When you get bored of the look and wish to remove it, some brands of contact paper leave tons of gummy residue. I use Goo-Off to remove the residue.

We saw the dancing cornstarch on "Big Bang Theory". This vid is even cooler. Going to try that with my kids asap.

I really like the garage. Interestingly, the most "busy" room of the house.

That's a great discovery. Makes me wonder if a similar effect can be achieved within a hotel room empty & open clothes drawer.

Similarly, speaker and soundbar companies demonstrate their wares mounted to curved or angled displays to improve the in-store sound. But then buyers are puzzled when the product doesn't sound as full at home.
