Does anyone even know what investment means anymore? 99.9% of furniture is not an investment. The minute you buy it and take it home, you're lucky to get 60% back if you want to sell it. I like room & board furniture, but its not an investment! It might be a better value to buy a room & board sofa over an ikea sofa if you end up keeping that sofa for a longer period of time. But its not an investment. I wish people would stop perpetuating this notion that furniture, clothing, cars are an investment. Spending more in the long run may lead to a better value but let's not fool ourselves here. Buy it because you love it, not because its an investment. Your dwr coffee table isn't going to christie's in 10 years.

What is everyone talking about? Its called renting a van to pick up furniture? It happens every single day everywhere.. Is this a story? Wake me when you accidentally buy an aircraft carrier from government surplus auction and decide to repurpose it as a floating hotel. That's a story.

I can't even look at the first one. There's something about it that is really uncomfortable. Maybe its that discordant color paint. Most of these look like a waste of time--are you really going to want to look at that monster picture everyday? Just go get a keep calm and carry on poster and call it a day.

Oh my gosh that stainless steel one is accessorized perfectly. Love the ice bucket. swoon!

No more keep calm posters ever. They were awful 5 years ago and now they're just beyond comment (almost). Throw a barcelona chair in there and all the bases will be covered.
