Yeah - right now if your measurements are correct, your L sofa is 11 feet long! Whatever you get, it really won't be that big - 8 feet is plenty. I would suggest putting a narrow console table with a couple lamps behind the sofa to act as a buffet when you need one, and further enhance the division of space. You should also probably get an expanding/ contracting dining table. I suggest having a coffee table with tall skinny legs, or a lucite or glass table (so your space doesn't feel cramped) and I have found with my L sofa that a side table like this has been a stylish space saver: http://www.etsy.com/listing/102048420/couch-arm-wrap-solid-wood-custom-arm How To Lay Out Furniture in New Condo Living Room? Tiainspace - could you switch out your dark blue pillows for some light blue ones, and get a light blue/ off white or beige extra large print rug? I think pale blue would look great with your colour scheme and add some colour without adding COLOUR, you know? (are your walls already light blue? Maybe a more saturated shade in the same colour then...) 9 Outdoor Rugs You'll Want to Use Inside |

I think the orange sofa is awesome! I'd change out some of the pillows for some not shiny, mid-tone green ones to pick up on the sofa without being too girly. Think plain or modern prints. If you don't already have orange elsewhere in the room, I think you have to add a few orange touches to bring it out. I have a big orange sideboard in my living room and green accents as well (obviously I'm a fan of this combo) and it looks great with green or chartreuse - the colours are also popular now so it should be easy to find accents whatever your budget / preferred shades. Looks like because of your carpet you might as well keep the beige curtains - you might try to bring orange, green and beige together cohesively with pillows and decor, and maybe ground it with a chocolate brown rug as someone suggested. I just did a quick easy search, there's tons of great, not girly options: Ways To Make Granny Couch Look More Masculine? Good Questions |

I'm in Canada so I'm NOT your competition - but does anyone know where I could find a similar (and similarly priced) lamp up here? The closest I've found is over 500$ from Zone Maison but this would be just perfect for my living room. I don't want to invest because I'm still renting... Please help!
