Another great thing about the C&B outlet is they often stock items while they're still in season. Every time I walk into the outlet, I see something that's in the normal C&B store for full price. The selection is limited, but always check the outlet. Apartment Therapy - Crate and Barrel Outlet |

Hi - I just want to caution you against going too far down the MCM path. The look is gorgeous, and I'm guilty of this myself, but the most lovely homes pull from a variety of styles. Don't think you need all pieces to have the MCM feel, which is where it sounds like you're going with the orange, green and shaggy rug. Good Questions: Input for ClickChick's Living Room? |

While I love these vases, I would NEVER buy my dad a vase for Father's Day. He does have an unhealthy obsession with the Marshall Fields Home Store (boo to Macy's!) but he'd be pretty unhappy if I bought him something so "girly." Best of Three: Father's Day at Jonathan Adler |

Have you considered turning the sofa to face the windows rather than the fireplace? That would make the living room feel more like it's own "zone," rather than a walkway. I'd put a chair where the dog bed is, move the bed into your bedroom and ditch the second TV. #21 - Debbie's Baby Grand |

Please, please let us know where that couch is from. I need it for my condo. #30 - Ron's Hotel "Sweet" |

Precious - I took a look at the article you posted and it confirmed what I already know. I'm a freak. Every article on color and its effects advises to go yellow for cheer, but I hate yellow. I was persuaded to paint my dining room yellow, and now less than a year later, I'm painting it lavendar. I have a lot of saturated, dark color in my living room and kitchen - a gorgeous deep blue, almost a dark teal. Rather than depressing me, it makes me smile. I've learned to ignore those articles, because a yellow home would make me crazy. ColorTherapy Survey: Light or Dark? |

I am desperate to learn how to sew. Although I did a number of projects with my grandma when I was a kid - that was nearly 20 years ago. Does anyone have any recommendations? I live in Wicker Park and don't have a car, so a local place, or somewhere near public transit, would be best. Oh, and I work in the Merchandise Mart, so River North would also be convenient. I think your story sums up the reason this entry doesn't quite pop; you haven't lived in the space long and have been rushing to put your major pieces together. In a year, once you've had time to settle in and collect some personal objects (and add an accent color or two!), the space will come together. # 2 - Johnny's First Chicago Home |

Ooh, lovely. They had ranunculous at Trader Joe's over the weekend as well, which are typically hard to come by. I wanted to scoop them up but was already carrying the max amount of groceries that I can handle on my bike. At the Market: Two Spring Favorites |

Stonelake, I second your comment. One brush will do the trick, but no guest wants to ask for the use of a plunger. Merdolino Toilet Brush by Alessi |
