oh how I love you for this recipe. We have a restaurant here in California. http://www.giuseppesrestaurant.com/ if you are ever in San Luis Obispo, and they have the most delicious crema limoncello. It is made by the owner and the bartender always treats my husband and me to it after our dinner as an aperitif.

I am so fortunate. One set of grandparents always gets her a $500 savings bond on every birthday and Christmas, and the other always asks what she would like. I was so surprised when her birthday hit that all of her toys were not just appropriate, but well thought of by all family and friends: wooden ride-ons, crafts, clothes, pretend play.

It was nice for people to really put some thought into the gifts given.

I do have to say, I am very impressed with the Ikea website and dimensions. We live 3.5 hours from each Ikea, and when we needed to go make big purchases and weren't sure what vehicle to take down there (for gas mileage purposes) the website was great at box dimensions,

We also used Costco, but for our old (well my mom's) super 8 films to DVD. They turned out great. HTH!

We actually had our celebration the night before. This allowed for us to celebrate into the evening, have family and friends come and go, and let everyone visit with baby O without her feeling overwhelmed right after church.

Because of this, we had a lot more time to prepare and chose to do our traditional scandinavian smorgie. It was great, and allowed for munchies all evening. We then took a cake to church for coffee hour after service.

ipodhunting- sooo simple. mash up the egg and add mayo until it is just at a wasabe consistency, then add a bit of dijon mustard to taste, sweet (that is the key) pickle relish but make sure you add more juice from the jar for flavor, salt & pepper, and paprika on top for garnish... simple, not over mayonaisy, and addictive!

Didn't someone at AT/thekitchn post not to long ago about having a friendly button to be able to print recipes? I would love to make this for my little one and have all of the ingredients... (except the rice syrup, think I will use the honey!)

I just have one caviate... I won't eat anyone elses eggs! Crazy huh?

My recipe was taught to me by my GiGi when I was 8 years old and it is fantastic, and I can never seem to take to anyone else's recipe! Oh well, the upside is that everyone else likes my recipe as well!

I just recently found out that our local bagel place uses neufchatel cheese as opposed to regular cream cheese. They whip it and I always wanted to know their secret. That was it!

I live just north of there in Arroyo Grande and we have so many fantastic farmer's markets. We are very lucky! This week's rain definitely put a damper on the strawberry crops (expect to see a $3 jump in the stores next week) but the growers I wait on at my restaurant still brought me in a flat to have for my birthday this weekend!

I do store bottled water in the pantry in case I have guests and they prefer it, but I take a refillable water bottle to work and fill it before I go. The water in the town I work in is so horrible that even the county water workers won't drink it!

On a side note, I also refuse to buy Figi water after they tried to bully the country into not taxing them any more!

Once Figi refused to back down, the water company came clean and said they didn't plan on stopping operations. They also bought a local winery where I live which I won't frequent anymore either! Sorry for the side note...

Our daughter got hers for xmas this year, she was 16 months old. She used it imediately. She was into manipulative play, and still pretty much is, but is starting to use it for pretend play.

So my suggestion for you is as follows:
make sure that the kitchen that you pick has different functions. Mine has lots of knobs, doors, etc. for her to turn, open, etc. We can also use the fridge for storage which is a big plus. In the future, I can see her using it more for pretend.

Hope this helps!

Wow! Can't believe those prices though! I was at the local antique warehouse and literally saw all of those wire baskets for $10 to $20 a piece, and a ton of crates. Also, remember the pepsi crates? They had a ton of those too... So many that they didn't have room for all of them, so don't discount those places!
