Ditto re: it's a climate thing. And perhaps a geography/resources thing. I grew up with quilts: historically scrap material and multiple layers were perhaps more readily available than goose down? And you can't wash those as easily as the bulk comes with the outer next to body part. Question: I do like the look of a "finished" bed: for those that use only a sheet in summer, do you take off a decorative cover each night or just leave it bare during the day? I'm trying not to be labeled as a "nasty" poster (these aren't personal insults guys) but I would agree: looks like Photoshop gone awry on the lefthand side of the desk? Perhaps neccessary because of the alternate angle on the left side of the desk and what appears to be at least a partial wall in the before: was it blocking the view and therefore removed via Photoshop? I like it, but agree, "restyled" (which is a GREAT proposal for a new "channel" on AT), is a much more appropriate term for this post. And perhaps original posters don't get to choose headlines? Ditto: completely lame post. I am not a tea snob (I say that in a self disparaging way: I respect tea snobs!) since I'll even drink Lipton Tea bag tea, but suggesting using water that's been run through a coffee maker be used to make tea? UGH. Coffee flavored tea. Really disappointed this made it on to one of my favorite websites: no one who has actually done this would think it's a good post. Hot Tip! Uh, ditto on all the disappointed comments. Do you mean that when your shower was on 100% hot water it was still too tepid? Otherwise, this is a ridiculous suggestion. How To Heat Up The Water at HomeHome Hacks | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Maybe it's a function of the tour not progressing (mine ended on slide 33: a picture of the old toilet and odd choice if it is intentional) even with thumbnails shown, but where's the bathroom sink? Nellie's New Old Home House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

ditto on the trestle legs. They're not just taken from an old folding table, are they? Erin & Chris' Fantastic Fishtown Fixer Upper House Tour | Apartment Therapy DC |

has anyone returned the bottles for carbonation yet? I LOVE soda water. I just don't like flat water, but hate killing 2 liter bottles every day. There is a "diy" home carbonator setup out there, but a bit too bulky for me. I'd gladly pay for either the entry level or the penguin, but don't want to get stuck with a useless gadget if no one will refill the CO2 cartridges (which otherwise, might be more of a drain of resources than a bunch of 2 liters). curious about what appear to be the roll down mosquito curtains (I've seen the commercial ones discussed on this site). Do they work? is it glassed in above or open as it appears? If the porch is open, I'm guessing I'm misinterpreting what these are and are used more for privacy? Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | My Great Outdoors: Simone's Beachside Vintage Brisbane |

ditto the question on the undercounter refrigerator. Our house is double this size, but the undercounter refrigerator would really help. Is it a freezer too? Is it good quality or just one of those dorm fridges that freezes half the stuff and lets the other half spoil? Anyone else have one? or an undercounter freezer? would love some objective opinions!
