its a 1925 bungalow and even though the paneling isnt original I think you can get it to a look that would feel original and more like a traditional wainscoting. I would be tempted to add a more defined chair rail to the top and paint the chair rail and paneling and maybe change out the hardware on the built-ins.

you wont believe it but my family (both mom and dads side) always have what we call banana croquettes. Sliced bananas rolled in mayo and then rolled in crushed peanuts. So weird ... but wouldn't be a holiday dinner without them.

i just bought this chair at REI and I LOVE IT. Weighing a little over a pound and rolling up into a small stuff sack I find it much easier to carry along on camping trips, movies in the park or back yard bbq's. And its comfy. My only problem now is constantly having to kick people out of my chair so I can use it.

growing up we had a sink like this. my mom sewed a very tasteful "skirt" that went around the sink. It attached to the sink with velcro so it could be washed when needed. It sounds kind of cheesy when I type that but it was actually really cute. Her house was on a neighborhood decorator showcase and everyone loved the solution.
