The base looks a little like this coffee table I inherited from my parents. Hi- There was a couch similar to that one in DOMINO in July/August 2006 issue, page 52. The one in the story must have been an antique or unavailable. The one similar to it was called "Zost" from Property (917) 237-0123. It was listed then at $5,500. Maybe someone knows of something similar that costs less. Good luck!
