I live in 564 sq feet. Space is always an issue. There are somethings that buying in bulk is a must for me; Dog food, my dog just eats too much to buy the small bags or 2-3 cans at a time. Toilet paper- Running out is just not an option in my world. Coffee- Again, running out is just not an option. I sacrificed the coat closet for storage and added a couple over the door hooks in lieu of a proper coat closet.

42lb Australian Shepherd household. I had engineered bamboo; It got dented and BIG scratches showed, though little ones not so much. Then the Aussie caused a fire and we had massive water damage from the sprinklers. Replaced with Maple, I thought it was a hard wood.... totally scratched in the high traffic areas due to her playing but also its hand carved so some is hidden. My brother has two smaller dogs with traditional Oak in the main room and original pine in the dining room. The Oak looks great, even with the dogs playing fetch/sliding across the floors- the pine is a mess. He is replacing with pine with oak- go hard wood.

I like the suggestion of the ceramic - any real long term/dog owner reviews?

I have been eyeing something similar and much more expensive on etsy. This would work just as well for half the cost. Can you get addtional cross bars?

There is NO diary for my cure.... although I did Facebook post the following: "Sometime you have to make an incredible mess before you find order." (Its still in the "incredible mess" phase,,, but I can see the order pending.... sort of)

I am slightly addicted to bedding sets. Duvet covers really really help feed this bad habit of mine. I have a few from Overstock. I think Florida Joyce rocked the suggestions!

1) Can anyone recommend a good landscape planning book or software for a total novice gardener that has a backyard about twice this size that look the before picture (maybe worse)
2) there is a San Francisco specific book for microclimates that I can never rememeber the name of- can some one remind me?
thanks!

Stainless steel contact paper: http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Stainless-Steel-Contact-Paper/dp/B000KKKSQQ

I am not 100% endorsing the contact paper... but it would be easily installed and removed. I think the steel trivets with command strip would be the best plan.
