I opened the comments just to say the same thing as rubylionesse, though I would prefer to phrase it:

"It's a blog! It's okay to write things in correct English rather than contort them to meet some random style guide. The pronoun "I" is perfectly acceptable. "Our"... not as much in this case"

I know it and love some of their stuff, but I, too, am priced out of most of their pieces.

Their sofas are comfortable-- or at least the one i sat on a few months ago was-- but I didn't pay much attention to the seams or anything.

Probably doesn't hurt that my standard chocolate cake recipe errs on the goopy side, too. (I use Orangette's, and for whatever reason, it's always just a little moister than I'd like the first day.)

I don't know that I'm motivated to eat the nearly 800 calories that are in that single serving cake if it's just okay. But normal chocolate cupcakes and cakes freeze and reheat well.

I do this. I take them into the shower with me and clean them with shampoo there-- conserves the water, is gentle, and comes out just fine. Just remember to dry them flat, rather than hanging them, so they don't stretch.

Wow. Some good suggestions. I'll try to post a floor plan tonight, it's really hard to get more/ other pictures because of just how tiny the space is. I'm definitely intrigued by the wall sink drainer, and I never would have *thought* to take the cabinet doors off.

Cindy, how much does the rug slip around? It sounds like a wonderful idea, but I'm a little nervous about winding up on my butt every time I turn around too fast.

What a fabulous kitchen :)
I wish my Dupont Circle 20' monstrosity could come somewhere near competing.
I was actually hoping you might tell me which apartment complex you live in by Eastern Market. I'm thinking about moving soon and work on 7th st SE... would love to find a building w/ bigger studios and light that lets you paint.
