Love the home and yes its a great neighborhood! I know as i live there.

Its in the freezer at the moment, skipped the walnuts (don't have any) and used white whole wheat flour with some vital wheat gluten. Dumped half a fistful of dark chocolate chips in there too. Can't wait to see how it turns out

Date and Walnut Cake
(Mom's Recipe)

INGREDIENTS

Butter 8 oz
Sugar 8 oz
flour 8 oz
Dates chopped 8 oz
Walnuts chopped 4 oz
Eggs 4
Burnt sugar
Nutmeg 1 tsp grated
Baking pwd. 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence

METHOD

1. Cream butter and sugar, (add burnt sugar) with the baking pwd., nutmeg and vanilla essence

2. Beat in the egg , one at a time

3. Mix dates and walnut in the dry flour, and gradually fold into the cream mixture, adding little milk if necessary.

4. Bake until done

NOTES:
? Burnt sugar is to be added for flavor when creaming butter and sugar

? Omit the nutmeg if u dislike the aroma

i have one too. We purchased it shortly after buying our condo and its perfect for our city back yard.

its a well put together place but i really love the vanity in the bathroom. Does anyone have a source. its so had to find modern looking double vanities or maybe i am not looking in the right places.

shanalulu- i think the dog is a white golden retriever.

i think i read it on this site that you can use waffle makers to make cookies.

Dual use, now there is my excuse to get one.
