pictureframes.com for custom sizing- you can upload a picture to test various frame/mat options (of which there are a ton), choose a glass/acrylic/etc. cover, and it's ridiculously cheap! You assemble the frame yourself once it arrives in the mail, which is very easy.

If you need cheap, customized frames for posters,etc. that aren't the standard sizes, I highly recommend pictureframes.com . . . you pick from a huge variety of frame types and colors, can pick matting, upload a jpeg of the poster to see how it looks, and its easy to assemble.

I have no intention of having children anytime even remotely soon. But I've always thought my massive collection of gig posters would go perfectly in a kid's room when they no longer fit in a future "adult" home . . .

I have a fake orchid in my bedroom that my boyfriend thought was real for the past year. Silk strands of orchid are the most real-looking, in my opinion, and still look pretty classy.

My street in Chicago (4000-4400 block of Hermitage) has a similar vibe- not necessarily as consistent from house to house as this one, but a long series of flourishing gardens that run right up to the sidewalk. I love it!

pinkllama- totally with you on that one! I got a 1/month cleaning lady after I bought my condo and spent two hours cleaning just the bathroom. It makes it much easier doing small things during the month knowing someone is coming in to do the hardcore scrubbing.

Yes, an outdoor rug for sure! Makes it feel like an actual room. Box planters around the balcony, even on the ground makes it feel much more cozy.
