i have one of these and mine is like four times the size. it's filled with dirt. demolishing is not an option right now for us, either, due to the adjacent flooring. if there were any natural light reaching the corner, i would plant a few plants in it. but it's a corner! so i am thinking of painting the brick, covering the top with wood, and then floating additional but smaller wood shelves above it. the space it too awkward for seating but just right for maybe one item per shelf, or a few books per shelf.
