According to a friend of mine who has long been in the kitchen business. ALL whites yellow over time. Generally fastest in sunlight rooms. It is likely to be so gradual that you hardly notice it happening.

Just use potting mix. The only mold that you might ever see is on top of the soil and it doesn't hurt them in the least.

Take a look at the lead photograph. If you had the set up in your home, you'd stand up to get out of the bath, crack your noggin, pass out, fall down and drown. I would never ever be able to keep those fixtures clean.

Use a good primer and tint it if you can. Make sure the primer seals tannins? or stain. Painted wood panels can look quite nice. Sort of like bead board. This is much easier and cheaper than dry wall. My brother did this way back in the 70s in our family home and it still looks nice today. Naturally a few more coats of paint and color changes have been added over the years.

I would not at all be happy if someone surprised me with any makeover whatsoever! And, especially green in a bathroom. Green reflects poorly on one's complexion. Thus we have Greenrooms backstage, that are never painted green.

The most fantastic display of candles in the windows has to be Allentown-Bethlehem PA. Such simplicity, and of course the Moravian stars look great as well.

I was there on Monday. Excellent! I did think it funny that the little Gluehwein boots when flipped over declared themselves - Made in China. Thank goodness the hundreds of thousands wooden and glass ornaments were not. Prost und Froh Weihnachten!

The inconsistency of this site is really truly amazing. Switch out wire hangers for plastic? Geesh. Plastic is a petroleum product. Ditching your PVC liner? That oughta look dandy in a landfill along with your switch plates. And what about those fancy "green" cleaners? More petroleum packaging. Bamboo sheet sets? Let's hope they come from local bamboo, maybe the kind grown in New Haven or Newton? (I am glad that I am not this schizo.)

Too bad the picture isn't bigger. Does it look like the receiver/amplifier is on the shelf next to the turntable? I think it is odd that the turntable doesn't have a dust cover. The poppy red makes me think 1964 Ford Mustang, but then I look at that turntable again and think it can be no sooner than the 70's. Then again, if the room is European that would really mess me up. I don't see an ashtray either. Hm. Oh well, I guess 70's.

Stick it in a big basket with some pine cones, maybe some greenery and a strand of clear lights. Plug it in.

The fir tree next to the window appears to be a Nordmann Fir, which would probably mean somewhere in Northern Europe? Seems to me a well-travelled European could peg that mailbox.

Goodlooking shovel, but you'll break your back. A curved ergonomic handle is a much better choice.

I have a clothes line that I use infrequently for things like rags or rugs. I wonder what the neighbors think. My main concern is bringing allergens into my apartment, which is why I rarely dry bedding outside. But it sure smells good!
