You should defiantly replace the flooring, brick work is nice when properly maintained and done properly, so no cracks for the weeds and so on. Decking is lovely as it feels as if a true effort has been made to make the place welcoming and makes the space seem wider. I would repair the areas of the fence and wall that need it, a new layer of cement and a paint job, white is nice as it is simple and is not trying to hard.
I would defiantly install a corner seating feature where the wall is to use up the space and make it seem wide, calm and used, you can easily make one, they would have cushions that are suitable for the outside weather.
You could also have vertical herb or flower garden patch, great for small spaces obviously, could use objects to "include the senses", wind chimes, wind ornaments and so on. I would also use a lightly coloured wooden table and chairs, as they are too welcoming and natural.

If you are classing the orange and yellow as the femininity of the sofa then you will not be able to stop thinking of it as feminine, you should try to complement the sofa within your apartment, by placing objects in your apartment that are or include the colour of the sofa, but is considered a masculine object perhaps.
You could use cushions that are soft and darker than the sofa itself, ones that also complement other colours in your home.

I would defiantly paint all the walls white or off-white but either leave the brick exposed of paint them too, one coat, and distress it.
White makes the place seem even larger, brilliant white is for a complete modern interior, off-white or a very light cream, one with a rose undertone will make the room very welcoming and will feel clean and calm.
You should try to use furnishings that are simple and calm too, but that do not overcrowd the colour scheme, so not too much blue or purple, more whites, creams, medium coloured wood, some browns and light pastels.

As you are going for rustic and metallic, distressing some features would be very good too.

The perfect wail colour would be a one which is off-white/ cream base with a duck egg undertone, its a warm and cold colour so plays a natural feeling. You could whitewash the bed and chest too, and even install a natural lighting feature above the window to be covered by a thinner white curtain, to feel as if the room does in fact receive natural light. You could place some mirrors in the room however they may make the room look bigger but they can also cram a small room too much. Painting the rocking chair with whitewash too would be very inviting too, distressing it will also suit the room.
