This is a great room. I tend towards lots of color but this is a really wonderful neutral pallet. I love the way you hung your plates in the corner and had them span 2 walls, it works really well as an art piece. Great room. I'm a fellow contestant (in the same category). I love your bed and the eclectic use of all your other furniture and other items throughout the room. Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Many of the things in our home have been collected over the years and are very personal to me. Artwork is very important in my life. My mother was an incredible painter and print maker and I have a lot of her work in our home. I also love to proudly display all of my son's art, as well (there's a bit of mine, too). KatieGnome - thank you for kind words. I just may enter the Small Cool Contest :). Lynnindc - You're correct, we do still watch VHS on the TV and we didn't want a huge set in our living room (we don't even have cable!!). Our home is truly an eclectic labor of love. Thank you all for the kind comments. My home is filled with things that I've loved and cherished for years. All of the art work is very personal. My mother was an incredible painter and print maker and I have a lot of her work in my home. KatiGnome - Thank you for your kind words. I just may enter the Small Cool contest :). Lynnindc - You are correct. We didn't want a huge TV in our living room and yes we do still use it to watch VHS tapes (and we don't have cable either!!!).
