But, also.... DANG. This is a fantastic room and I would love that wallpaper in my own bedroom! Before & After: Construction Zone to Vibrant Twins' Room Five Days Five Ways |

danielle.s, I agree. I love the look of a beautifully-put-together crib, but I worry.... Even if those who use them do take them out when their children are sleeping (as is probably the case in this post), a soon-to-be parent or even grandparent who takes care of the kids in their own home might mistake the fashion/style for something that's safe to do, since there are so many pictures of cribs with pillows/bumpers everywhere. I love houseplants but my cats devour every single one I had (including cut flowers, too). If I put them in the places too high for them to reach, they are too high for us (humans) to enjoy! I've tried having "cat grass" inside, but that's just their appetizer before moving on to my other plants. Any cat owners have suggestions? I don't love the look of a cactus, myself, but that seems to be the only alternative? Plant Love: The Philodendron Selloum |

This is so sweet! And just a reminder to all parents - please secure furniture against the wall in a child's room, even at age 4, for safety reasons.... (I realize that the after picture isn't taken in the child's room, though.) Before & After: Drab Armoire Gets a Whimsical New Face |

I have a trunk-related question -- we recently acquired a used trunk from my in-laws. I emptied it at their house (to take everything to goodwill), but by the time I got the trunk home, it had locked itself somehow. On subsequent trips back to my in-laws' house, I have searched for a key, but it's been lost. Any ideas on how to open it without damaging it? It's the same kind of lock as the trunk's in picture 2. We've tried picking the lock with various implements, and I've also looked up tutorials on youtube, and nothing seems to work. I'd rather not spend money on a locksmith, but that sounds like our next step (unless we just break the whole lock). Just wondered if anyone had experience with this? It seems like such a simple mechanism, but it's foiled us at every turn! Triple Threat Trunks: Storage, Table & Seat |
