I have one of these that I use to cover a chair. Someone else mentioned her cats, and mine love this rug. They lay around on it right next to the windows - especially when it's sunny.

I'd just ignore them completely. If they don't like it, oh well. At a certain point, they need to learn how to live around other people who make real people noise and walk and talk. They don't get to tell others how to live.

Is it a little like putting lipstick on a pig? Yes, it is.
Is putting lipstick on pigs always a terrible thing? I guess it depends on the lipstick.
That being said, I think these would look better being neon - or a brighter, more vibrant color.
I would also say that lipstick should only be put on pigs when the pigs consent to it.

I've played piano for about 17 years now, and I would say to try as hard as you can to put the piano on an inside wall. Other posters are talking about humidity and heat/cold fluctuations, and, typically, those things are more likely near a window. The most consistent temperatures are easiest to maintain near the interior walls - this has always been my experience.
Almost all of my piano teachers kept their pianos on interior walls as well.
If you aren't overly concerned with the sound of the piano and with the life of the piano, then I would say to put it wherever you want. If you are, put it on an interior wall.
If you own any of the following: Steinway, Bechstein, Schimmel, Yamaha, Kawai, Fazioli, Bosendorfer, please put them on interior walls. Especially if you want to sell it in the future - or pass it down to children.

I have gotten so much better at not spending too much on housewares and clothes since I moved into a one bedroom.
At first, I was buying things - because the place was empty. I didn't have any furniture save for one rocking chair and a bed. I was sitting on the floor to eat.
Now, I have a dining set, a nice chair to relax in, two shelves, a desk, and two small ikea side tables.
But, I have nowhere to put things. My cabinets are tiny, and I hate clutter on the top of tables. I have small wire/industrial bins underneath my table that hold extra books and blankets. They're all full.
I don't have any closet space, cabinet space, or shelf space.
This makes it a whole lot easier to not buy things. If I bought everything I wanted, I'd have way too many colored glass vases and minimalist furniture sitting around.

I wish my cats were as camera ready as that cute dog. I love my beautiful cats, but they do not pose for the camera.

When I was an art major, there was another type of marker you could use for these transfers. It worked very well, but it was linked to nerve damage and kidney failure so I wore gloves. Citra Solv Natural Citrus Cleaner also works well, but it can stain if done improperly. Your pictures will smell pleasant though. Modge Podge also works but I HATED it. I hate modge podge. The pen I used was some sort of clear overlay pen that was made by an art markers company. Stuff smelled terrible, and I got a headache a couple of the times I used it.
My best recommendation, from the different uses I've seen of each, is the Citra Solv. I've never used it, but a lot of people I knew used it with a lot of success - and there's less work involved than with Modge Podge.

So wonderful and simple. I don't know how much my cats would appreciate the absence of rugs and soft furry blankets.

Why do people leave these things in places where people will see? I guess it was kind of hidden, but just put it in a closet - unless you want people to see. That's always a possibility. Was Reagan considered sexy when he was president, by the way?

I work at World Market, and we have them in the store. If you live in a state with a World Market, I suggest going there. Usually the stores will have a lot of different cute containers.

With my last boyfriend, it was impossible. Impossible.
He had ugly, old furniture that he dumpster-dived for, weird, ugly sculptures (I love sculptures, but these were just hideous). One of them was just the worst thing. It was a baby doll on the top of a standing pole, wearing a maternity dress and a felt hat. When you pulled a cord, its head lit up. Every time I saw it, I just wanted to cry. He would not get rid of it. I would seriously have let a pack of wild dogs into the house to shred that thing.
Plastic dino head on the wall - and not the cool kind. It was one of those McDonald's happy meal toys dino puppets nailed into the wall - wearing a batman mask and holding a garter. I kid you not.
He was always claiming to have good decorating taste. When my sister would come over, she would not sit on the furniture without a blanket under her - it was that gross looking.
There was no solving that design mess. Now I live in a small one bedroom apartment, and it is minimalist/industrial and a little bohemian. It's pretty nice not having to see that baby doll lamp.
