I'm impressed that you managed to have so much furniture in such a small space and have it feel cozy rather than cramped. You've made some really nice choices here. Lovely and personal. Emily's Brownstone Studio Small Cool Contest |

Honestly, I'd be thrilled if landlords would just paint a place in good quality, non-glossy, bright white. I've never seen an apartment that was anything other than glossy, dirty-looking, off-white or some sort of awful pinkish beige. Blech. I hate my popcorn ceiling more than anything else in my home but can't bear the mess of removing it. The next owners can do that if they want. I also like to see that you can have a cute family home while working around it. Nicely done. Caroline & Jose's Remarkable Nest House Tour |

I'm a guilty binge watcher. It's so gratifying in the moment, but ultimately seems less satisfying than drawing out the experience. Sort of like eating too quickly rather than savoring a dish. We binged on the first season of "Game of Thrones," then enjoyed the exquisite torture of a week-by-week season 2. Delicious. My instinct is to say classic, but agree with others that a bold classic could be just right. Maybe chinoiserie, toile, or a Napoleonic bee print in bold, rich colors? Classic or Bold Upholstery on Quality Vintage Settee? Good Questions |

This is one of the few homes done by a designer that looks like it's actually lived in by normal people. I mean that as a compliment. Nicely done and the blue bedroom is especially wonderful. So serene. Vintage Finds in a Classic Co-op Professional Project |

I'm absolutely NOT of the anti-painted wood brigade, but I wouldn't have painted the wood on this particular piece. I would've turned it over to a pro to be refinished if fumes were an issue. The upholstery desperately needed to be replaced, though, so good call on that. Before & After: Rocking Chair Makeover for a New Generation |
